Wellbeing Football Tournament

25th May 2015

In May we held our first Wellbeing Tournament here at Kingfield. Thirteen teams took part in a league competition with highest placed clubs entering the Cup competition whilst others went into the Plate competition.

Teams joined us from Hull City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Everton, QPR , West Sussex , Wales as well as teams from the Surrey Community League.

Games were hard fought with Woking Minders and Guildford meeting each other in the final, with Woking Minders being crowned champions.  The Plate competition was run as a league with Kingstonian Mind coming out on top.

We received some great comments from teams that took part and will add the tournament to our annual programme.

Surrey Community Football League Presentation Lunch

14th May 2015

On Tuesday, Teams from our Surrey Community Football League came together to celebrate what has been a fantastic season.

The presentation started with a three course meal being cooked by our very own masterchef, Steve Tremblay. The awards then followed and the winners were;

Top Goalscorer - Jean Carter (Mind United)

Goalkepper Award - Jules (Guildford and Waverley

League Runners Up - Woking Minders

League winners - Croydon Eagles

A new addition this year was our team Hero awards, these were given out to a member of each team which showed a great attitude towards team mates and the league in general. The awards went to;

Woking Minders - Nick

Guildford and Waverley - Elliott

East Surrey Eagles - Leroy

Kingston Mind - Mike

Croydon Eagles - Jell

Rushmoor Foresters - Julia

Leacroft Legends - Pete

Our final award was for our player of the season. Unlike many player of the season awards, our award is not necessarily given to the best player, but someone who reperesnts the ethos of the league. The winner went to Will from Croydon Eagles.
